CAA is currently working within the framework of the project Spectres in Change, yet the ongoing activities are founded on the enquiries and conversations developed in the Turku Archipelago in the Baltic Sea since 2009.

Spectres in Change is a long-term project supporting the work of contemporary artists in collaboration with a multidisciplinary research institute focused on environmental changes in Turku Archipelago, off the South-West coast of Finland in the Baltic Sea.

Frontiers in Retreat
CAA was also an associate partner in Frontiers in Retreat. Multidisciplinary Approaches to Ecology in Contemporary Art (2013-2018), a five-year long collaborative enquiry into the intersections of art and ecology by eight European artist residency organisations and 25 artists.

Contemporary Art Archipelago CAA / Turku 2011
The ongoing work of CAA is founded on the base laid by the three-year research (2009-2011) that culminated in an exhibition of twenty new commissioned site-specific art works across Turku Archipelago, as the biggest contemporary art project in the programme of Turku 2011 - European Capital of Culture.
