Contemporary Art Archipelago CAA / Turku 2011
The ongoing work of CAA is founded on the base laid by the three-year research (2009-2011) that culminated in an exhibition of twenty new commissioned site-specific art works across the Turku Archipelago, as the biggest contemporary art project in the programme of Turku 2011 – European Capital of Culture. In addition to the exhibition, the project consisted of multidisciplinary seminars, research residencies, lecture series, workshops and a symposium in collaboration with Turku University, Turku Art Academy, and Åbo Academy University. The project was funded by Turku 2011 – European Capital of Culture and a number of private foundations in Finland. More information at CAA – Contemporary Art Archipelago and on the project website.
